"I have contradictory views on this book. The style of writing is pleasing and easy to read.
Beth has suffered a great injustice but has emerged as a strong and appealing character and made a successful life - you can only have great sympathy and admiration for her.
Dante is an alpha male who unfortunately is hard to like, competely self-centred and selfish, channeling everything into what he wants.
His refusal to believe in Beth's innocence until incontrovertible evidence of it is produced leaves the feeling that had he unconditionally loved her he would have known her true character especialy since events subsequent to Beth's imprisonment should have had alarm bells ringing.
On the other hnd the story did hold my attention throughout.

"My heart cried for the heroine...i just wanted to kill the hero...how can he be so heartless...but J.Baird writes so well you can't help but finish the whole story even if you hate it"
